Student Grants

Vasilis Vasilelis, from Nicosia, Cyprus

Anglia Foundation advised me to invest in studies in Marketing and Public Relations. The staff there helped me secure a student loan and a bursary grant. I was anxious about securing a good room with private bathroom and toilet on the University campus. Anglia Foundation was most helpful in securing this for me as well.

Nikos Miliorellis, Businessman

Mr. Madellis helped my daughter study English Literature at the University of Central Lancashire at Preston. I was very glad when my daughter got the 1,600 pound bursary grant by the SLC for her studies. The quality of the lectures at the University of Central Lancashire is excellent. Preston is a nice, clean and friendly town near Manchester with all the facilities a young student could wish for. It is an excellent institution to prepare a candidate for today’s competitive job market.

How to Fund your studies

For a typical student, the cost of living in Britain is estimated at 500-700 pounds (750-1100 euros) per month, depending on the amenities that each one requests; this represents an estimate for the rent, food, transport and miscellaneous expenses. Remember that your monthly costs will depend on your personal life style and the location of the University. A student who lives in London or Brighton may need more money than a student who lives in Durham or Swansea.
